About Us

Sandwell Cricket League is a voluntary (not-for-profit) organisation based in Birmingham & Sandwell, founded by local residents it provides organised sustainable sport and recreational activities for everybody living in the deprived comunities across Birmingham and Sandwell. Sandwell Cricket League's aim is to provide people from inner city areas of Birmingham and Sandwell with interesting, exciting, supervised, structured and sustained physical activities that take place within walking distance of their homes.

Sandwell Cricket Legue has been instrumental in raising the profile of sport and the social benefits sport has to offer in developing cohesive communities. SCL works towards the ethos of "Sport For All" in the belief that this will create more harmonious and unified communities and our ideology has developed from a successful pilot project called "let me play" in which members of the community of Birmingham and Sandwell volunteer their leisure time to assist in developing a strong and effective league for everyone.
